The challenges that companies have ahead are as varied as consumers in the world, and coupled with this, information technology and come to this outlook more difficult.
And the picture is further complicated by the problems that the world economy travesara for the following year. In its latest report, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) cut its growth forecast for the world economy. The estimate came to 3.6% from 3.8% for 2016.

7. Risk
To succeed in the business environment, senior executives must take a strategic approach to risk management. Regardless of the stage of growth of a company, the ability to identify and manage risks stands out as a vital element of success.
Companies wishing to become market leaders should not fear the risk. They should approach the risk intelligently to reap its rewards and accelerate their growth.

'El Diablo' Fernandez, who almost does not give interviews, but religiously attends international forums such as the WEF meeting in Davos and the Council on Foreign Relations, refine the strategy that plans to conquer the US Hispanic market through Oxxo opened 900 stores over the next 10 years. His arrival to the neighboring country depends on permission to sell beer, one of the main business lines Oxxo, the US government does not want to give because it has 20 percent of the shares of Heineken. And perhaps because the owner of Budweiser, Bud Light and Corona Anheuser Busch InBev, the largest brewer in the world with whom the market is held in Mexico and the United States.
If you do not get approval in the United States, 'El Diablo' still has a card to play: the sale of its stake in Heineken, a company that has generated a cumulative return of 26 thousand 740 million pesos since 2010, when it acquired 20 percent of the company, which gave Fernandez a seat on the Board of Directors of the third largest brewer globally. This month period ends lock up for Femsa has the possibility to sell its stake in Heineken, which bought for 7000 $ 347 million.
Oxxo entry to the United States could be given along with the expansion of its beverage business, with the acquisition of franchises that Coca-Cola Company is looking to sell its partners ... and Femsa is the most private partner. In late 2014, the Mexican company left open the possibility of entering the US market, where Coca-Cola Company will perform 'refranquiciación' bottling operations by 2017. We must also say Femsa had a difficult venture in the Philippines, which it has taken longer than expected to bear fruit.
And 'El Diablo', who by the way do not mind being called with the nickname that put a child, he became Femsa's largest private bottler of Coca-Cola worldwide and Oxxo chain retail stores largest in Mexico, now wants to be the leader in the business of pharmacies and gas stations.
Femsa entered the pharmacy business in May 2013 with the acquisition YZA and Modern Pharmacy Pharmacies, which gave a total of 400 outlets. Also, last December bought pharmakon, which has more than 200 outlets, which it totaled 600 units in Mexico. It is still far from the 300 thousand Farmacias del Ahorro or over 2000 500 Similar, but the cash machine Femsa could wrest leadership at any time.
Meanwhile, Femsa became, at a stroke, the biggest driver of gas stations in the country, a sector highly fragmented. At December 31, 2014, there were 227 Oxxo Gas stations in Mexico, most located next to an Oxxo store, which Femsa generated 16 thousand 178 million pesos in revenue from the sale of gasoline and related products during 2014.
This is the future that draws Jose Antonio Fernandez along with his management team. 'El Diablo' looking Femsa is a conglomerate with presence in many relevant sectors in Mexico and abroad. Yes, as well as Carlos Slim.

The rapid growth of the luxury market in Mexico has been an issue that has been very present in our minds since 2009. Not only because we develop in the industry of marketing and advertising, but also because as consumers we've hit news , articles and increasingly boutique openings of luxury brands beginning to make inroads in Mexico.
Undoubtedly, the growth of this market has been rapid and steady:
The data are clear but do not tell the whole story. The most important thing for us as professionals advertising and marketing is to interpret the data and insight into the factors that caused this situation to understand the context and capitalize on their evolution.
Context
If you really want to understand a change whether social, economic or business we have to pay attention to context.
To those forces that are not usually so obvious but can define the direction of a category, a society or a country.
As for the luxury category, the changes that have shaped and have been mainly demographic momentum. Many of them had been developing for years in the consumer's mind and now we finally see how they affect behavior.
The inclusion of women in the workplace, the postponement of pregnancy and decrease in the fertility rate have been influenced behavioral changes in other factors such as the average age of the country and even the increase in family income that boosted growth the middle class.
Being aware of these changes and their rationale from the needs of the consumer, it is the interpretation that opens the view to not only see what is actually happening, but also to see how far and what their impact within market, society, and country.
If we are aware of the importance of this trend in the coming years, we must also pay attention to the continuing evolution of the behavior of the Mexican front luxury.
Evolution
Acceptance and assimilation of this category has changed over the years, causing new luxury consumers coexist with established.
Where we can see two different motivators to come and take this category: "to show what I have and what I accomplished the world" (show off) and "what use because I like it and it's part of me" (personal taste).
However, the consumer does not remain static, it continues to evolve and with it the perception people had of luxury.
Trends in the world adapted to the Mexican market and now follow his path as needed to motivate consumer behavior.
This makes the definition of what is luxury and the role it plays in the life of the Mexican keeps changing as much as changes himself.
In conclusion, it is vital that when faced with a phenomenon with such power and social media such as luxury consumption growth in Mexico, not only we stay with the hard data, we have to go further.
Being curious and understand why Mexico defies the trend of power countries like the United States, growing in this category, unlike them.
The underlying reasons speak rather than economic data, changes in consumer behavior and evolution of concepts rooted.
Only then can we have the advantage to elucidate the impact of this growth and to capitalize on relevant and timely opportunities for our brands.
