10.- No permanezcas estático, cambia

No matter how times change, rain or shine, Apple and Google will know exactly what they need to do to validate each year its title as the most valuable brands in the world.

Its capabilities are embodied in the study 'BrandZ' 2015, in which Millward Brown explained the 10 points that brands need to develop today to conquer the demanding consumer we have.
Looking for your brand take this knowledge and put it into practice to improve their position to their customers, then we present each of the keys that gives consultancy to build and maintain valuable brands.
1. Innovation and delight
Today consumers are having trouble finding marks to be left completely satisfied, not enough to get only the 'ok' people, but you need to go beyond that.

The challenge for brands today have is to innovate with one goal in mind: to bring happiness and delight consumers with the products or services being offered.
2. Be significantly different
People already have everything in their hands and for brands is becoming increasingly difficult to sell. Millward Brown says that in this situation it is necessary to give people reasons to reach out to brands, trying to be different from everything that already exists in the market, in order to have competitive advantages that make consumers.
3. It has a purpose
Experts say that today brands need to have a purpose that goes beyond the simple fact of wanting to make money.

They can be many things, be green, promote sport or have some connection with the geek world, no matter, the idea is that consumers can perceive the brand as different from everything that appears before your eyes.
4. Lead by example
Once you defined and what is that purpose that will make each of your activities, time to implement it and be the first to propel come.

The mark must completely aligned to him and turn their collaborators in the first ambassadors of the subject, it is to give meaning to each of the actions with which you approach customers.
5. Build and maintain confidence
This is a very important point, as the most trusted brands that consumers are generated primarily those in the tip.

This topic is what makes, for example, that Apple is always in the minds of people to buy.

But brands must be careful, because confidence is fragile and can be lost at any time, so you need to always protect her.
6. Renew and improve your brand experience
It seems that talk of brand experience is fashionable, however, the reality is that this is a point that has become essential to success.

Brands need to generate in consumers buying a ritual that appeals to them and help them to eventually generate a sale.

It is important to remember that experience should have the same quality in both the physical world and the digital.
7. Trust consumer perception
Amid the boom in the world of big data and information relevant to continue thinking in analyzing the human side with consumers.

This means that brands can not forget the feelings and attitudes that people have to different scenarios that can touch their everyday lives.
8. Think holistically
Experts say branding strategies today must be driven virtually every one of the areas that have brands.
Today you can not do alone efforts, but the idea should be that all contribute to the same objective to mark the end consumers during their shopping trip.
9. Worry for attention
A strong and genuine brand, supported by a good idea well executed and communicated marketing can reach the clouds.
Brands need through marketing to make people's turn to look, as Apple or Google happens every time one of the two brands launched a product eventually shake the world.
10. Do not remain static, changes
Finally, Millward Brown talks about always trying to renew the inner work is done in the marks to avoid monotony and collapses all the work that has been done.
The task must then never settle for the results that are having and try to think of what follows, in what comes forward.

Louis Vuitton y Gucci Decline

Hugo Boss & Land Rover Debut

It is another good year for luxury in the Interbrand Best Global Brands ranking, where 14 100 brands that were placed luxury brands.

1. Overall luxury brands performed well, 8% (mode) growth
2. Louis Vuitton (# 19) was dropped from # 17 in 2013, a decrease of brand equity of 9%
3. Audi (# 45) and Hermes (# 46) increased brand value by 27% and 18%, respectively
4. Land Rover (# 91) ranked first, like Hugo Boss (# 97)
5. Ferrari and Moet et Chandon left the Top 100
The general optimism

With the exception of Louis Vuitton (9%) and Audi's stellar performance (up 7%) and Hermès (up 18%), most brands increased brand value (year after year) between 7 and 9% in 2014. He did not directly comparable thought, this is much more optimistic than the forecasts of growth in luxury sales in 2014, torn between 3-5%, depending on the category.

The highest-ranking brand luxury goods Louis Vuitton remain (# 19) and Gucci (# 41). According to the study, brand value doubles Gucci Louis Vuitton, estimated at over $ 22 billion. In fact all the luxury brands in the top 100 were assessed more than $ 4 billion, proving once and for all that luxury is as important an industry goods and fast moving consumer technology.

When we look at the evolution in the rankings in the last ten years, Mercedes-Benz has proven to be a very stable brand in terms of increased value, largely unaffected by a massive influx of technology and brands based platform, as Amazon, Google, Apple and Facebook. In fact Mercedes has ranked 10, 11 or 12 in a row since 2004.
In 2014 Mercedes Benz again ranked at # 10, up one place from 2013, with an increase in brand value of 8%. This beat his German rival BMW, which ranked No. 12 with an increase in brand value of 7%. Both brands are valued at more than $ 34 billion.

Prada again proved an interesting case. Recently its share price fell sharply after CEO Patrizio Bertelli said H1 2014 results and forecast flat growth for the rest of the year. Despite the ubiquity concerns raised by analysts after the aggressive expansion of the brand Prada, the Italian maison achieved a 7% increase in the value of the brand in 2013.

Prada, in general, has experienced a relatively meteoric rise in the ranking of Interbrand in the last five years. In the 2000s the overall brand, ranks above 95th, until 2009 when he jumped to # 87. Prada then disappeared completely until 2012, when it reappeared at # 84, after ($ 2, 14 billion) 2011 IPO and rapidly expanding retailer. Today it is ranked as the 70th most valuable brand in the world.

Louis Vuitton and Gucci Decline

It is perhaps surprising to see brands Louis Vuitton (# 19) and Gucci (# 41) drop a few places in the standings, considering its recent concerns about overexposure and fatigue of consumers in the market. Both brands focus on luxury goods premier to a lesser extent that 'entry level' garments very brand that have flooded the market a bit.

The growth of the Gucci brand value was reasonably flat (up 2%) and actually dropped in Louis Vuitton at 9%. In fact, Interbrand, he reminded us that Louis Vuitton was on a journey, which is refocusing its efforts in a bid to protect its legitimacy luxury.

"Lack earning potential should not be seen as an expense but as an investment in the rarity," said Robins. "Louis Vuitton continues to place great emphasis on high product and the evolution of its overall value proposition."
Audi and Hermes Soar

In 2013, Audi delivered a record number of 1.580 million vehicles, an increase of 8.2% in 2012 deliveries, but also the second consecutive year that has given out worldwide Mercedes-Benz. In fact Audi is now the world No. 2 of the luxury car brand in terms of deliveries, located between BMW (# 1) and Mercedes-Benz (# 3).

In Europe and China was the top-selling brand of premium cars in 2013, but only ranked No. 51 in the ranking of Interbrand brand value in the same year, while Mercedes and BMW sat just below the Top 10.

Finally in 2014 we are seeing an increase in brand value reflection of its sales. Value of the Audi brand increased by a massive 27% in 2014, earning its place as one of five 'Top Risers', which also included Facebook, Amazon, Nissan and Volkswagen.

Interbrand attributes some of this success to building initiatives thoughtgul digital brand and innovative campaigns in social media, creating viral sensations and attracted media attention. City Audi showrooms have also played their part, the implementation of brand experiences high technology in some of the points of sale in the world's most revered.
Hermès (# 46) was the fastest growing brand of luxury goods, which increases its value by 18% in twelve months. "Mark relevance to luxury customers remains strong in all geographic areas," Interbrand said, "with a double-digit growth from 2013 through Q1 2014, through leather goods and saddles, the accessories, silk and textiles. "

Performance has been attributed to its long-term strategic approach is continued. In 2014, the company made a major investment in talent and restructured internally in order to strengthen the positioning and brand values. Alongside this, Hermes has expanded its production and distribution network, and launched several social media efforts in order to remain accessible to their online customers.

Hugo Boss & Land Rover Debut

Land Rover made its debut at # 91 stars, like Hugo Boss at # 97, both joining the top 100 ranking for the first time. Rebecca Robins explains; "Since it was acquired by Tata Motors in 2008, Land Rover has seen double-digit growth each consecutive year. Last year, unit sales of Land Rover rose 15 percent year over year."

In fact Land Rover recently experienced the best overall sales performance in its history with records set in 42 markets. The British brand has invested heavily in product development, facilities and infrastructure. The Range Rover family is updated from ground up to provide the ultimate in luxury with the maximum capacity, including significant weight loss due to investment in the current Land Rover manufacturing plant of the world's most advanced aluminum.
Hugo Boss is experiencing similar success, growing in terms of sales and number of stores owned directly, the latter of which now represent 54 percent of sales. "Hugo Boss, was one of the strongest apparel brands worldwide performance in the past year," says Rebecca Robins.

"The company saw revenues grow 10 percent in Europe, which constitute more than half of its sales. The brand is also trying to exert more control, as is moving away from sales through partners and start running . their own stores Brand strategy is clear: the maximization of brand identity, expanding retail, increased global presence, and improving operations. "

Jason Wu's appointment as creative director of womenswear signals both the first true "star designer 'of the house, next to a more strategic courtship fashion market lucrative women, a brand known for its menswear and satisfying .

The house has also entered new territories positioning, expanding beyond-F1 longstanding agreements, alliances with the French player Olivier Giroud and pilot Alex Thompson yacht. For the first time, the house has ventured into the world of art, sponsoring a career retrospective of fashion and portrait photographer David Bailey in London.

Jason Wu and CEO, Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, are clearly moving the Boss brands in a period of modernity, which could be in better position to compete with rival luxury goods in the Top 100 best global brands.
Ferrari Outputs

"Ferrari is a great brand, but at the lower end of the table was always vulnerable to new entrants," says Rebecca Robins. "The picture as a whole rose by more than 6.5% so must be showing good growth in value just to stay in ..."

In fact, the # 100 (Nintendo) in the list of Interbrand was valued at $ 4,100,000,000. When you consider that in 2013, Ferrari delivered 6,922 cars only - it was a (deliberate) fall 5.4% in 2012 - is easy to see why one of the most recognized brands in the world can not be a contender for the Top -valuable 100 brands in the coming years. It simply can not be compared to sales revenues.

"Ferrari has dedicated to exclusivity," continues Robinson. "This compensation remains highly desirable brand and keeps a supply is less than demand, but also limits the sales potential that can generate long-term benefits in volume."

In fact, before his recent departure, the then CEO Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, has repeatedly confirmed to the press that he was looking to reduce the number of Ferrari cars delivered each year and increase the value of the product to the customer and their return home. In 2013 he delivered on that promise. While unit sales of vehicles fell 5%, Ferrari achieved record profitability.
Conclusion

As in previous years, the only thing you take from this ranking is the huge and growing power of luxury brands. And in some cases, their incredible resilience. Mercedes has managed to maintain its brand value for nearly a decade, despite the global financial crisis and the information revolution, catapulting the value of brands like Apple and Amazon in the billions.

In fact, both Apple (# 1) and Google (# 2) are now valued at more than $ 100 billion, according to the study, increasing by 21% and 15% respectively since 2013. What is surprising is that real luxury is not only holding its own in this global increasingly competitive scenario, but most manufacturers are moving in the rankings from year to year.

As always, the industry should have a watchful eye on when brands become too big, too exposed and too omnipresent. But this ranking provides some optimism for luxury not seen this year in the forecast for global growth. And once again it reminds us that while growth may be slowing, earnings in larger global luxury brands in the world is out significant.
