¿Branding mata a marketing?

NO. ¿Tiene mejor precio? NO. ¿Aporta más beneficio a nuestro cuerpo? ¡JA! NO.

It is interesting that the second word most famous in the world after "OK" is "Coca-Cola"; and many babies, instead of saying "mom" or "dad" as its first word, it is "Coca" (soda, do not think bad). Are you surprised by that? Most likely not; but have you ever wondered why this happens with Coke ?, Why its great taste? NO. Do you have better price? NO. Does it provide more benefit to our body? JA! NO. So what's the secret? The secret is that this company knows very well what it is to generate a branding strategy and foremost, know how to achieve it.
Ok, but ... What is Branding?
Already much has been said about the concepts of branding, trademark, logo, etc. So I'll cut to the chase:
"Branding is the process of development, brand management and dissemination."

Ok, but ... What is brand?
It's funny and sometimes frustrating to see how, even today, among the professionals of our sector professionals is still confusion between the term "brand", "logo". So once and for all I'll say:
"BRAND AND LOGO NO synonyms"
To say that a logo is a brand is like saying that a tire is a car. It's like saying that a string is a guitar. It is like saying that a crest is a president (Oops !, Did I say that?).

After downloading a bit my frustration in the previous paragraph, I'll cut to the chase and tell you the brand concept:
"The brand is the unifying element capable of changing behaviors and perceptions, generate meanings and relationships, but above all, competitive value proposals expressing"

No corporate identity, not a logo or a name, they have the ability to transform behaviors or perceptions, at least not alone.
In fact there are big brands, exceptional brands, generating trends, experiences and meanings that do not have a big "logo" and an extraordinary corporate identity, but that the strategy is superior to its competition and as a result able to generate what many just dream ... A brand.
These marks are twofold, two visions, what we see and what we see:
WHAT WE SEE
Visual identity
It called by some "the heart of the brand" is the visual representation (pun intended) of the mark consisting of the logo (logo, isotype, imagotype, logotype, etc. Then talk about this topic.) the color code (yes The colors you are going to represent) fonts, etc.

Naming
The name identifies, difference, defines and connects with the audience of your brand. In the words of the great Joan Costa "It has no name, it does not exist". The brand name is the most repeated message of all. Much more than logos, symbols, colors, far more than the product package, for all these change (or change) over time and the trend of taste.
Why so important? Because that the human brain works by categories that simplify your work. Each new knowledge, included within one of those categories or create one specifically for them. Therefore, naming something (a brand) facilitate storage and recall it.
"A name can take your brand to the biggest successes or failures more terrible"

 WHAT YOU DO NOT SEE
Branding
Positioning a brand is about to become the industry standard, grade, market. Being the main options, or better yet, the only option in the minds of consumers and thus put their trust and thus their money.
Some professionals named to the "Positioning" as the core or center of the mark, then guide the characteristics and actions of the brand strategy, personality, attitude, character, etc. And pacesetter even visible aspects of the brand visual identity, verbal, user experience, etc.
Brand architecture
Here the set of strategies and tactics that will be held in a company to build and organize their portfolio of brands, its structure, levels and hierarchies, and the roles of each brand is defined. Some types of brand architecture include:
Monolithic Using the same brand for all levels of architecture: corporate level, product line, service line, etc. A striking example is Yamaha, since under the same brand includes everything from musical instruments, audio, motorcycles, marine engines and even cars
Multimarca: Here a strong, independent brand is developed for each company's products. A clear example of this is Unilever and its many successful brands.
IN CONCLUSION:
Branding is a discipline very common, complex sense and not just about sitting down to design a "logo" at the computer.

"Anyway ... When you have a branding project, first try to think about what is not, to have a foundation so if you see (or see)

* Thank you for reading, I hope I have contributed (at least a little) to your training and this article has inspired you (Or too much to ask?) To value projects branding.

In the area of marketing we own our concepts and ideas but, How owners are actually (legally speaking) ?, sometimes as people dedicated to marketing generate brand names, slogans, imagotypes, concepts and ways of working only under our own perspective. But we often forget an important issue, which allows us to work for a brand with long-term fruits: REGISTRATION AND PROPERTY OF A BRAND
The Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) is responsible for regulating the whole topic about trademarks and patents, is to which we must register our brands even before they used body.

The ownership of a trademark is something to take very seriously: How many clients or employers there who have worked years for a mark that is not registrable or is already registered and that under no circumstances will register it in your name? The answer is many. It is very sad to see entrepreneurs who have more than 10 years working a brand that is not and can not be theirs, legality and use of a mark must always be the lifeblood of a company as having covered this factor will save you from future disappointments , loss of time and money.
Our job as marketers is to offer projects and brands that are recordable and be totally honest when customers have brands or imagotypes that can not be registered, tell them honestly that his concept is very trite and impossible to register or already registered by another person. And if you do not know the subject best left records and legal affairs of the brand with an expert.

Here are some tips you can take to create a new brand:

To brainstorm a list of ten possible names, try not generate simple or very obvious and you probably already are registered names.
Once you have the list of possible names, verifies that each name or brand name previously registered this eliminates the yes and retains an option to choose not. All this can be done directly on the website of IMPI, in the section Marcanet.
Once you have the names themselves are registrable, you can register and enter your brand or; if you will make the registration of a trademark with imagotype you recommend a figurative search, which yield the most similar (or identical to yours) logos for if there is something similar that could hinder your process, you can change prior to registration, you We recommend doing this every time you change the image as it provides security when entering the record.
If you know nothing of trademarks and patents, LEARN or go to an adviser to the registration process of your brand as quick as possible.
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW TO REGISTER YOUR MARK

It is inexpensive
Step is slow
We must follow if there clarifications or folios that you must answer
Once you give the title this is valid for 10 years, a little before you have to renew it and pay a fee for it.
If someone is going to register the mark in your name to be someone professional and reliable
If the mark is joint ownership, the registration will be done the same way counting with the contract because sometimes some companies "word" only one of the partners registered the brand name.

The app geolocation took Levi's to increase sales and branding through their ability to move to action.
Mexico City has a serious problem of mobility. Every day, dozens of vehicles, including cars, trucks and motorcycles, fight fiercely in the streets in order to reach your destination.

It is for this reason that Waze, considered the application of geolocation, routes and maps in the world, has become a basic ally to find the fastest way to reach your home or office.

However, this app created in Israeli territory can not only give benefits to people, but dozens of brands and businesses through its various functionalities advertising.

This was precisely the ability that took some months ago the popular clothing brand Levi's, which created a platform advertising campaign that ended up being a resounding success for the firm.
Levi's putting on the map
During two and half months, the company decided to agree with Waze creating a campaign that allowed Levi's smartphones reach the millions of users who have the application in Mexico City, obtaining important results.

Throughout this time, the brand have got through Waze about 10.5 million impressions that helped position two discount offers they had planned a timeless way and another for the success.

But the impressions for the company were not the most valuable, the remarkable thing was that the application managed to lead directly to the 27 shops of Levi's a little more 3,300 people interested in their promotions during this period.

How did you managed to do this Waze? And what kind of public advertising did Levi's to get their shops in Mexico City were visited by nearly 50 new people a day during the duration of the campaign?
The two keys to success
The results are the fruit of two different activations that the firm conducted in Waze and boosted the success of the company considerably. Here we present them.

1. Using the Rich Takeover
The clothing company decided to go for hiring in one Rich Takeover Waze, which was responsible for the millions of views that took the company through the system and that served mainly to boost the positioning of the brand in the minds of drivers.

It was in this place where the company was mainly people who had two important developments that could take advantage at any time. Being lighter, he gave branding to their offerings.

Note that the Takeover Rich has the ability to lead people to a shop to give click when deployed.
2. Pin Store
In addition, the company also used the method of advertising that has Waze Pin, by which managed to bring more than 3,300 people to their tents, placing on the map the place where they are.

This is an action that appears to be extremely simple but is very valuable. It is not that the marks only locate his shop on the map of Waze, but they can through this action themselves known to people.

What happened is that the campaign offers the end succeeded because the Rich Takeover showed them and then people could identify the site of their nearest store using Pin.

6.- AT&T
Categoría: Proveedores de telecomunicaciones
Valor de marca: 89 mil mdd
Crecimiento: +15%

The dispute between the marks still in its heyday, and once again beat Google Apple and Microsoft. Czech this ranking of Millward Brown.
The launch of its new smart watch, along with their latest models of iPhone 6 and the consolidation of its television system, allowed Apple to get this 2015 first place in the ranking 'BrandZ' of the 100 most valuable global brands in the world, prepared by Millward Brown.
After going through a process of adaptation to the ideas of its new CEO, Tim Cook, the company that was founded by Jobs and Wozniak finally he got these last twelve months off and overcome in the listing to Google, his now eternal rival.
in general terms the Top 100 of the 2015 managed to register a growth of up to 14% compared to 2014, adding all the members together brands over 3.3 trillion dollars.
He highlighted the weight that are having related companies in the technology sector in the world, which together grew to 24%, plus six of the Top 10 are precisely this business.

Conoce a tu cliente

The company is a symbol of marketing, what is the basis of your success? Answering these questions to find out what your customer really wants.
This May 8, Coca Cola will blow out the candles on his cake, then the brand will fulfill 129 years to offer the world refreshments that are common to almost every corner of the five continents. And it will be a special date, as the company will celebrate not only its history, but also the impressive value today has its brand, which until late 2014 was valued at just over 81 billion dollars (billion dollars).
The reality is that very few people in the world who do not know what is Coca Cola or who have not yet taken any of the drinks from their extensive portfolio.
New consumers
Typical marketing strategies for decades gave the brand success seem to be currently insufficient. For what reason? Basically because consumers have been becoming, among other things, due to technological development. This has led them to take control of things.

In addition, the brand lovebrand or love with brands such as Coca Cola, and neither is sufficient to ensure engagement with customers and drive sales of the company.

An example of this is what happened a few years ago with Kodak, a company that was recognized by the people, but despite this foundered because the consumer brand admired but did not consume their products.
Know your customer
So what has made Coca Cola to conquer these new consumers? The answer is simple: meet you worry about your marketing background and work based on what they are asking.
the great challenge facing manufacturers today is to work entirely based on what customers require, not go unnoticed.
the area set within the company works primarily in search of answers to four questions that are central to the marketing strategy they develop.
1) Who is really your customer?
It is a crucial issue for companies. They simply can not do without knowing who will direct their marketing and sales strategies to drive your business.

But it's not just about knowing who your market superficially, but to get as much information as possible about all their customers and get benefit.
2) What do you want your consumer?
The analysis of the mark on your potential customers should also cover each of your preferences, consider what are the things that attract their attention to just give them are.
Coca Cola goes beyond market research, but focuses on dialogue with consumers to fully understand the reasons for the purchases made.
3) How is my brand acting against the interests of my customer?
At this point what is involved is to make a thorough analysis on how you are working on your brand, to determine how positive these movements are doing.

It is very important that the company observe well what products or services you are offering and compare with what consumers are asking, this in order to know how close or far they are from reality.
4) How do I do to get in touch with him?
It is very important that this area evaluated where to position the brand to the consumer sees it and can make it part of his life.

For example, Coca Cola knows that much of its market are families, which is why he knows he has to be in all establishments where they consume, from small convenience stores to large establishments.

Make branding is not just about mentioning plus the name of the brand, but to build, strengthen and ensure the identity that consumers locate you.
8 points to strengthen your branding
What to do then to combine all the technological advances in the development of this important issue ?.

1. Where must be
The specialist argues that companies need to evaluate how well new communication channels need to be present. This is not only going to be there for Twitter and overall inertia but that the marks to question whether truly bring a benefit to be there.

The risk of choosing not suitable channels for a brand lies that can generate a bad image of it, affecting its reputation and therefore the construction of branding.
2. Be it online and offline
Barrenechea notes that companies must maintain a consistency between physical and digital strategies, always trying to give the same message; Failure to do so significantly affects branding and brand building.

3. Objective: credibility
Earning consumer confidence is obtained only credible, ie be consistent between what our brand says and does, it is important to set the message that give consumers real and distinct.

Those brands that do not work on the issue of credibility will be designed to go unnoticed by customers, even when developing sophisticated advertising strategies.
4. Interaction and bidirectional
Social networks were created with one goal: to develop opportunities for dialogue and communication for people. Nothing will serve you a brand presence in social networks but communicates.

Eye, not communicate with people not answer your questions and discuss with them, generates a negative brand image that weakens their relationship with customers and value.

5. Generates always innovation
Brands should understand that talk about innovation is not just about technology generation, but also to keep always refreshing products and portfolios.

One of the most innovative brands in the world is Coca Cola, which strengthens your brand by listening to their customers and worrying about what they ask. Thus always creating innovative new products that allow you to reach more people.
6. Partner with the consumer's mind
One of the most important points for the development of branding is to strengthen the connection with customers. Brands have to force yourself to be present in each of the important moments of your life with the goal that never forget.

Getting people to a brand associated with events or moments that were important to them can raise the value of the company and generate greater sales volume.

7. Think about developing emotions
Given the saturation of products and services exist today, companies must improve their emotional work to draw the attention of consumers and be attractive to them.

Brands need to show affectionate with people, feel their emotions and become partakers of them, so can develop a good branding and give value to their brand.
8. Worry about your inner
Learning about new technologies should be a priority for brands, however, also be that your company has a strong organization that delivers customers the impression that they are well-performing products they buy.
In addition, companies should remember that employees of a company are its main drivers in the market, those with satisfied employees generate a better branding your brand.

What of all the points you consider to be the most important? Why brands must strengthen their branding daily? How they can improve their work in support of new technologies?

The difference between a brand and a beloved brand is as inspiring. What is Inspiring Marketing and how to develop it? Here are some tips.

Never before have we experienced such an exciting time in marketing.

The current picture
Perhaps the first golden age of marketing may have been advertising in the 50s and 60s with Mad Men and the birth of advertising as we know it today, but those days are long gone and no doubt we are living a second stage why? Here are four reasons:

Today anyone could cope with any brand and compete with her audience ... and to sample, YouTubers who have millions of visits each time emitting a transmission. Here you can see how Yuya and Germán fight for hearing on YouTube with Warner When thought possible?
It is also the time when we begin to see that TV is vulnerable in many ways and is no longer the powerful means to Yield to internet, a much more democratic means and where to advertise is much cheaper and faster. The phenomenon of cord cutting that gives way to stream entertainment such as Netflix is now a reality.
They are also on the content stands at unbeatable traditional advertising and teaches you that there is a new way to engage your audience and customers that has absolutely nothing to do with ads. Are the days of inbound marketing and attraction marketing.
They are days when an event, product, video or image may be viral in minutes and be forgotten however few days later.
Despite this new reality where everything looks great for marketers, a hard truth also makes room: nobody will love, will buy or share anything unless it is spectacular, which traps that inspire ... because otherwise, in a world so many options why on earth would have to choose yours? And this is true from a garage to corporate that produces art software.

We are entering a new era: Inspire or drop dead ... are the days of Inspire Marketing.
Inspiring Marketing
The marketing today, succeeds not by the old, hard theory to be mastered, true, but is no longer a guarantee of success; Marketing is no longer limited by Ps, SWOTs, segmentations or ROI; no longer fits into a good product, quality and price, or a well-defined target market ... you can have it all and still fail. The current marketing, besides, is made of visceral connection we feel with every product or service we use.

Yes, yes ... and I stress is necessary to master and handle forwards and backwards all the terminology of marketing, but it is NOT enough to excel in this world of immediacy and a half, where empathy, value added, storytelling and Factor WOW! end play roles.

The difference between being a brand and a beloved brand, lies as inspire me.
Give genius, give me entertainment solutions give me, give me membership ... then we can talk; and this is no longer exclusive to the big brands stop thinking that! You, in your small business or your personal marketing can apply, provided you know your customers well and are willing to give them a unique experience.
Most marketers are very concerned about finding content that become viral, operating in social networks, are concerned by the word of mouse ... It is useless! They are doing the task in reverse: Seek first a brilliant idea, something to inspire people and be responsible for sharing.
Why do people share content?
People often share essentially for four reasons:

By empathy

Have you set success with quotes on social networks? Routine uses ersonajes famous quotes from historical figures to current artists and celebrities Why? Why do we think subconsciously makes us look so cool, interesting or humorous like them ... And not bad! It's human nature. All we have done and will continue to do, but it is vital that you understand the why behind; and this applies not only to sentences but to any content: articles, infographics, numeralias, etc.

For authentic generosity

It also happens that sometimes we read some content that seems relevant truth and then shared it, either because we think it will be very useful for our community or because they believe it is something that we actually need to convey their importance; Some news, technical, transcendent articles, statistics, etc.

By Emotion

Sometimes literally beat us emotion and without thinking anything like oppress the RT button, share, or any other that generates a connection to the brand Remember the black and blue dress that many saw white and gold? Do you remember the cat up or down? Do you remember all those amazing videos of the various machines Coca-Cola? And all these teasers of films? We just won the emotion.
Because we are followers of the author

Have you noticed that there are sites that publish and in less than a minute and thirty tweets or have shares in Facebook? This happens not because then all read or shared; no software to do this automatically (Czech for example Twitter Feed), ie I select some blogs of certain authors that I know always publish relevant material and then simply I program so that every time that site publish something, my Twitter will automatically I Tuite. This is also quite normal ... When we become true followers of someone, we usually share again and again its content Do you think your Facebook wall usually shows the same means by chance? Clearly shows you what time and again you like or share, so that you continue interacting with it.

Conclusion
In short ... is he dead known as traditional marketing? If you mean the essential terms, the answer is NO. Today more than ever you must remember and understand perfectly what the basics of marketing means; what is dead is the idea of believing that's enough ... now it takes much more; you need to inspire, either with a product having Factor WOW !, with storytelling, with a customer experience that makes you want to repeat again and again, with a content that will excite and impress you to share ... In other words, besides doing what you've always done, develop Inspiring Marketing ... you need otherwise you will only be irrelevant What are you doing sitting there still? Go to attract a great idea! An inspiring!
